PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Vietnam continues to experience high economic growth compared to regional and global economies. This economic growth goes hand-in-hand with increased energy demand. According to the National Power Development Plan, Vietnam's power demand will increase on average by 8.7% annually in the period 2016 - 2030. Viet Nam has identified the need to improve the implementation of Demand Side Management (DSM) and Demand Response (DR) as well as Energy Efficiency (EE) measures to help manage this demand growth.
SERVICES PROVIDED BY STRATEGY & ECONOMICS
Supporting the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam (ERAV) and Vietnam Electricity (EVN) in assessing the potential for implementing DR and Utility EE financing models. The results of the study will be used to advise the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) on improving the relevant policy and regulatory framework
